It’s factory engineered to meet the wind storm challenges in Eagle River, Palmer, Wasilla or the Anchorage Hillside. If your home is in a high wind area, ask about adding reinforcing struts, long-stem rollers, double hinges, extra track brackets and stronger track to your new door. R-value isn’t everything. All our garage doors reduce heat loss and airflow with thermal break construction, dual weather-stripping between the sections and a 3″ (or even 4″) Arctic-grade bottom seal in a strong aluminum retainer. The top and side jambs are sealed by Memtech nylon brush weather-stripping.
